#0. Introduction
Hello everyone!
My name is Sofia Sandoval. I know by looking at my blog I might come off as emo but I'm not, I swear. Not that there's anything wrong with being emo.
Anyways I'm here to introduce myself so I should probably do that. Like many of you currently taking this class, I'm in my junior year of high school. It's supposedly the hardest year of them all. Yay? So far though, I'm actually feeling pretty optimistic about this year. Going into week five feeling strong. We'll see how long that lasts.
Ok, I'm going to sound like an absolute nerd for this but I don't care; something you should know about me is that I love math. Like actually if all my classes could be math, they would be. Right now, I'm taking calculus and physics and I find it so fun seeing how everything intertwines and makes sense! I could go on and on but I'll save you from hearing it. You see, one of my goals is to become an aerospace engineer. I just think it'd be so cool to grow up and be like, "hey I work for NASA". The actual chances of working there are pretty slim but it can't hurt to be delusional sometimes.Outside of academics, I like to play sports. At school I run cross country in the fall, play soccer in the winter, and run track in the spring. I also like to watch sports. I really only watch soccer though. I enjoyed watching this year's Women's World Cup play out. Any thoughts on the Jenni Hermoso scandal.
Also, another thing you should know is that I almost always have headphones on. It's kind of surprising that this year none of my teachers seem to care if we listen to music during class (so long as it's not an important lecture of course). I don't really know to how to describe my music taste though because it varies so much. For example I could be listening to Deftones but then have the urge to listen to Taylor Swift or Los Ángeles Azules. My favorite songs right now though are probably The Blonde by TV girl and If you made it this far congratulations. Hopefully this let you get to know me a bit better. There's so much more to say but I don't want to rant so I'll cut it off here. I usually don't enjoy writing but I'm looking forward to contributing to this blog this semester. Perhaps by then I'll start to like writing more. <3
Hey Sofia! I really enjoyed reading your blog, I felt really engaged and entertained. I have never known a student who has genuinely loved math. I can't say so myself, but you had open more of a positive aspect of math. -Anahi
ReplyDeleteHi Sofia! Your goals seem to be out of this world! I find it cool that you love math and want to be an aerospace engineer. I hope you aim to the stars and never look back :)

ReplyDeleteHey Sofia! First off I want to say I wish you the best with junior year. It's true, it is the hardest but that's just because you're preparing for college. But senior year is a blast and easy so it's worth it. Also, don't sell yourself short. Being smart and determined can get you anywhere. Thanks for sharing a little bit about yourself :)
